Designing with land, water, and community in mind. Proudly serving Western North Carolina homeowners and landowners.

Our mission is to design natural, functional landscapes that are accessible, welcoming, and grounded in ecology. We work with the land, not against it, to create low-maintenance, site-specific solutions for homes and working land across Western North Carolina.

Each project begins with an on-site visit to understand existing conditions, land use, access, vegetation, and how the space is experienced day to day. These observations are used to develop a site analysis that guides plant placement, circulation, and how spaces are organized and used.

This phase encompasses the full design process, from initial ideas through refined, polished drawings. Our designs prioritize ecology, accessibility, and everyday use, resulting in a cohesive, place-based plan.

Plant palettes and material selections are chosen for regional suitability, durability, and
low-maintenance needs. Recommendations prioritize
native species, natural materials, and practices appropriate for Western North Carolina landscapes.

Final designs and recommendations are provided for client-led installation or coordination with a contractor of choice. Referrals to local professionals may be shared upon request.
I am an Asheville native with a background in biology and Spanish from Western Carolina University. After graduating, I worked with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission in nongame fisheries, focusing on the conservation of non-game fish, freshwater mussels, and crayfish. That work shaped how I think about land, water, and ecological systems as a whole.
I later earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia, where my graduate research focused on river restoration on agricultural land. Today, my work brings together ecological science and practical design to create thoughtful, site-responsive landscapes for homes and working land.
I am a disabled designer and I believe accessibility is a requirement, not a request. That perspective informs every project, with an emphasis on landscapes that are functional, welcoming, and resilient for a wide range of people and abilities, especially within the varied environments of Western North Carolina.
At the core of my work is a respect for place and a belief that good design should support both the land and the people who live on it.
